My mother used to sing this song to us; the lyrics popped in my head the other day but I couldn't remember all. The tune would not leave me so I called my sister long-distance who called her daughter (who knew how to work the internet), she found it right away. This song brings back pleasant memories of my mother who sang around the house all the time even when doing unpleasant chores so that I've been doing it also since growing up.

I think this song is perfect but it is not the one I learnt in my school. It sopose to be Help cried the three little fishies look at the whales as quick as they could they turned on their tails and back to the pool in the meadow they swam.

I bought a card for my granddaughter's 3 birthday..a musical one that had the little fishy song. I was so excited for I had not heard the real version since I was a little girl myself! I found the lyrics online and am sending them with the card. Now we can sing all the verses and the fun will be more exciting. Nana Becky loves Haley ! :)

my father sang this song while cooking for us daily and to finally find it on line was so exciting i sang it to my children,granchildren and now to my great grandaughter. this is one of the few i cherrish from childhood. thanks for finding this song for all of us

I learned this when it came out. Now I have 7 great-grandchildren and I think they ought to learn it also! Fun little song!
