‘’A Tisket A Tasket’’ was first recorded in 1879 as a children's rhyming game in the United States. It has since become a popular nursery rhyme .
In 1938, the words to ‘’A Tisket A Tasket’’ were used as a basis for a Jazz song by the same name and proved to be a break-through hit for Ella Fitzgerald. The song went on to be inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and is now considered a Jazz standard.
