Horse is a Horse (Mr. Ed) TV Show, A

Song Lyrics & Words

A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And no one can talk to a horse of course
That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mister Ed.

Go right to the source and ask the horse
He'll give you the answer that you'll endorse.
He's always on a steady course.
Talk to Mister Ed.

People yakkity yak a streak and waste your time of day
But Mr. Ed will never speak unless he has something to say

A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And this one'll talk 'til his voice is hoarse.
You never heard of a talking horse?

Well listen to this: "I'm Mister Ed."

I always thought it was quite amusing that a horse could talk. But he would always talk to his owner but never when his owner wanted him to. So he could never prove to anyone that Mr. Ed could talk. So does that mean that a talking horse was a figment of his(the owner) imagination, or was a talking horse a figment of OUR imagination?

I watched Mr. Ed faithfully. I was 7 when it first aired. I wanted a horse SO bad! I finally got a pony when I was 9. She was as sweet as could be but she couldn't talk like Mr. Ed.

So today I was watching Bones and it was funny because this guy was killed and his nickname (of sorts) was mister Ed and he pretended to be a horse. Dr. Hodgens brought this up to everyone but Bones didnt get it and it was funny. I guess more of a had to be there thing... oh well Hope you all enjoyed reading a somewhat throught provoking comment... =) Im 14 and Im already getting married, got engaged 2 days 22 hours and 36 minutes ago yayayaya Im happy just had to share that with the world. May good fortunes rule over you and peace live in your hearts

No one can talk to a horse, of course... Unless you give him Peanut Butter.

Donald Southerland made two or three movies with a "talking" horse. I'm sure the show, "Mr. Ed" was patterned after these movies, but I can't remember what the horses name was in the movies. Was it Mr. Ed???? I always thought the movies were better than the TV show.

By Larry in Littleton, Co on 6 June 2009

Amend last transmission, It wasn't Donald Southerland, it was Donald O'Conner.

I'm a talking horse, and I have to say I fully endorse the concept. I mean, sure, in the mane I get strange looks, and I get alot of 'why the long face' wisecracks, but it sure beats sign language. So, next time you see a talking animal, give it some space, maybe a beer, and discusss the intricacies of the meaning of life, because animals are really into that!

By Ray in Oak Creek, Wis. on 11 August 2009

Why is this show not on TVLand or ME TV. I used to watch this show before I went to work at 6:30am in California and it always started my day out right. With all this crap on TV now we should go back to the basics.

By Bubblez in New Britain Usa on 19 August 2009

Snoopy is mad dum. Ne one who thinks they are a talking animal needs to go get help! Like Seriously. Sure i like the show to but animals cant talk. The show is simply created by putting peanut butter in the horses mouth so it looks like he is talking.

I am a walking talking horse and am loved by all my workmates. They call me Super.....
