Information About This Song
The Addams family TV show ran on ABC from 1964 to 1966.
The TV Show was not a comic strip but a series of cartoons in the New Yorker magazine by Charles Addams. The family didn't really have a name but was given that name later for the TV show.
The show was loosely based on the eccentric recluse surrealist Chester Addams who was partly famous for his eccentricities. Obviously it played better if it was an entire family one person doesn't make for good comedy.

The Adams Family started, when uncle Fester farted, he farted through the keyhole and paralized the cat. The cat fell down the dunny, it cost alot of money, to get the darn thing out!

Ha ha ha... I am junior in high school and we are changing the lyrics of the song to fit the current senior class as a funny song for their senior recognition night where the juniors thank the seniors for everything they taught us... it is a really cool song to do it to because it is so so so funny and well known!
