Lyrics

I'm bringing home my baby bumble bee
Won't my Mommy be so proud of me
I'm bringing home my baby bumble bee -
OUCH! It stung me!

I'm squishin' up my baby bumble bee
Won't my Mommy be so proud of me
I'm squishin' up my baby bumble bee -
EW! What a mess!

I'm lickin' up my baby bumble bee
Won't my Mommy be so proud of me
I'm lickin' up my baby bumble bee -
ICK! I feel sick!

I'm barfin' up my baby bumble bee
Won't my Mommy be so proud of me
I'm barfin' up my baby bumble bee -
OH! What a mess!

I'm wipin' up my baby bumble bee
Won't my Mommy be so proud of me
I'm wipin' up my baby bumble bee -
OOPS! Mommy's new towel!

I'm wringin' out my baby bumble bee
Won't my Mommy be so proud of me
I'm wringing out my baby bumble bee -
Bye-Bye baby bumble bee!

Information About Baby Bumble Bee

The origins of "Baby Bumble Bee" came from a song played on the fiddle in the 19th century by the composer Colonel Sanford C. Faulkner. It is sung to the same tune as "The Arkansas Traveler".

There are many versions to this song since a lot of parents might find the original content harsh for some children. For example changing to lyrics from, "Mommy won't be proud of me",
instead, "Mommy will be surprised at me!".

The melody was originally written to be played on the fiddle by American composer Colonel Sanford C. "Sandy" Faulkner and dates from the 19th century.

I heard another version, a more politically correct, without harming the bee. If I can only find that version!
