I love this poem because it reminds me of caterpillars they are so greedy my dads friend Andy reads it to me when I am in the pub I really enjoy it so so much this reminds me when my dad is in china I want to hear this poem again thanks Katie Barlby high school y7 bye

I only know this as a poem. When I was a teen I performed it at a church social dressed as a school girl and with a lisp, the audience found it hilarious and were falling over with laughter. I thought I was such a fabulous performer until I discovered that there was a gentleman in the audience named Cecil Grubb!

My brother and I were obviously very morbid children because our version involved him eating his family. I was genuinely surprised to find out he was actually supposed to be eating cabbage.
