Don't Disturb The Ladybug

Lyrics

Don't disturb the ladybug
Sleepin' by the spider's web
And if you see a butterfly
Don't try to catch it in your net
It's taken such a long long time
To make this very special place
Open up your soul and mind
To all it has to say.

Be still
Take it in awhile
Feel the sunshine
Warm upon your face
You'll feel
When it makes you smile
Like you're welcome
To the human race.

Everybody sees a part
Of what this life can really be
No one sees like you can see
When you let your mind be free
The wind is blowing through the trees
A song that everyone can learn
God is playing hide and seek
Everywhere you turn.

Be still
Take it in awhile
Feel the sunshine
Warm upon your face
You'll feel
When it makes you smile
Like you're welcome
To the human race.

this song was written by jim manley. we sang it at our church camp every year. here is a statement from jim manley: "I've been writing, singing, recording and publishing songs for 30 years, on the New Wine label in the 70's and independently and in others' books and hymnals ever since. I am a liberal Christian minister, now spending my time out and about with my music across the US, Canada, and Australia. I have three CDs available: "Spirit Song" which includes 20 of my most requested music for Sunday worship and personal meditation. You can learn more about all these on my website: or contact me via email at jimanley@earthlink.net."
