In The Bulb There Is A Flower

Song Video

In the bulb there is a flower, in the seed, an apple tree;
In cocoons, a hidden promise, butterflies will soon be free!
In the cold and snow of winter there's a spring that waits to be,
Unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see.

There's a song in every silence, seeking word and melody;
There's a dawn in every darkness, bringing hope to you and me.
From the past will come the future, what it holds, a mystery,
Unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see.

In our end is our beginning, in our time, infinity;
In our doubt there is believing, in our life, eternity,
In our death, a resurrection at the last, a victory,
Unrevealed until its season something God alone can see.

I need to copy an audio of this song to a CD. I can only find it as a video, hence the sound is not playing on the CD player. My sister needs it soon for a funeral. Any ideas on where to find it online or a CD with the song on it that she could buy?

It's in any number of hymnals. I know it's in the standard blue hymnal used by the mainstream Mennonite church.

10 27 09 tues 741a mst hi, nancy by now you've probably found the music to this song, In The Bulb There is a Flower (actual title is HYMN OF PROMISE, I think), but perhaps my answer will serve someone else looking. try hymn books. CHALICE HYMNAL (used by disciples of christ, and others, i suppose; eighth printing 1999 and likely same page other printings, pg 638; METHODIST HYMNAL, third printing, 1989, pg 707 (maybe other printings that occur 1986 or later since that's the copyright date of the song - Hope Publishing for the song, and United Methodist Publishing House for the hymnal), . The song was written by Natalie Sleeth of Denver. best chaz s., denver

I really enjoyed this hymn I heard at a good friend's funeral. Where could I find the music to this hymn?
