I learned this song at a camp. We sang it at campfire right before bed. Although we did one thing different. We had 2 counselors on the other side of the lake and when we yelled FIRE FIRE FIRE the other 2 people on the other side of the lake yelled water water.

O'leary hung a latern in the shed and when the cow kcked it over she winked her eye and said: "It'll be a hot time in the old town tonight" FIRE FIRE FIRE. ----- Then you have to delete words starting from latern to kicked to to winked to FIRE FIRE FIRE.And theres a little dance to it. I learned two "verses": Late last night, when we were all in bed Old Mother Leary left a lantern in the shed And when the cow kicked it over She winked her eye and said "There'll be a hot time in the old town tonight" Fire! Fire! Fire! Last night late, when bed we all were in Old Mother Leary left a shed the lantern in And when the kick cowed it over, She eyed her wink and said, "There'll be a time hot in the town old tonight!" Ifer! Ifer! Ifer! (pronounced eye-fer)

Late last night, When we were all on bed, Ol' lady Leary left a lantern in the shed And when the cow kicked it over, She winked her eye and said "There'll be a high time in your town to-night! (Group A sings) Fire! Fire! (Group B sings) Water! Water! (Group C sings) Save my child! Save my child! (Group D sings) Jump, lady! Jump! (Everybody sings) Plop! I think this version is a lot more fun! Yes, it might require the orginazational skills to divide evEryone into 4 groups but it's worth it! By the way, the first verse can be sung by everyone or by one person. Try to be as 'animated' as possible when singing this song! That way, it'll be far more fun!

I know this one only instead of getting quieter, you have to get louder. Trust me you go deaf when you're in a car
