Little Brown Mouse

Lyrics

Oh, the liquor was spilt on the barroom floor,
The bar was closed for the night.
And out from his hole came the little brown mouse, into the pale moonlight.

Well, he lapped up the liquor on the barroom floor
And back on his haunches he sat,
And all through the night you could hear him roar
"BRING ON THE GODDAMN CAT!'.

HOW I KNOW THIS SONG, I DON'T KNOW, BUT - I KNOW A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT WORDING . GOES LIKE THIS: IT'S FRIDAY NIGHT ON THE BARROOM FLOOR & THE PLACE WAS CLOSED FOR THE NIGHT- THE NIGHT -WHEN - OUT ON THE FLOOR CAME A LITTLE GRAY MOUSE SAT IN THE PALE MOON LIGHT - MOON LIGHT - HE - LAPPED UP THE LIQUOR OFF THE BARROOM FLOOR - & - BACK ON HIS HAUNCHES HE SAT - HE SAT - & TO THAT EMPTY ROOM HE SAID - BRING ON THE (--) CAT - THE CAT! AND ANOTHER FUNNY SONG TO TEACH THE KIDS (IF YOU'RE NOT TOO STRAIGHT LACED) IS "SHE SAILED AWAY" THE CROCODILE SONG!

Years ago my Dad used to sing this song at all the parties he threw. I love the song! Brings back great memories!

How come all the camp songs i loved as a kid are no longer appropriate for my kids? And i went to a catholic camp and ymca camp! It's too bad. We baby our kids too much these days.
