british lady was singing this song at the rose garden at Werribee in Melbourne . I had to find it and pass it on to our grandchildren.

I sang this song when I was a little girl. Now I am singing it to my granddaughters. I forgot the last of the lyrics and are so happy that I found this web site. MY granddaughters love it so much they sing along with me and all we do is laugh!!!!thank you .A happy MIMI....

When I was in grade school in the mid 1940's, we sang and performed this song before a School Carnival Audience. I was dressed up like a Petunia (Crepe paper dress) while my classmates were the onions in the onion patch!

I used to sing this song in grade school, in the 1940's. Those were the good old days when the teacher taught everything in one classroom, including music.
