I thought my girlfriend Connie P. and I wrote this song in 6th grade as a project...I guess we just learned it and sang it...that was 55 years ago...I sang it to my children over 45 years ago and to every child I babysat and to all the preschoolers I sang/ taught, then to my grandchildren...and children at church...I love that song!

I loved this song as a child and have introduced it to my daughter. So glad to have the lyrics. Wish I could get the track. My daughter will be singing it in her school talent show while holding her grandmother's Steiff Teddy Bear.

My family also had the 45 of Me & My Teddy Bear. When I began dance lessons one of the first routines we learned was to this song. Loved it. Glad to find the lyrics!

I am 49 years old and had this song on a record as a child. The record got melted by the sun and my Mom bought me a new one. I still have it. I also have this song on my ipod and have sung it to many, many babies including 2 of my own. My all time favorite. Now I have a grand nephew that I will sing it to as well.

I'm 61 and my Mom used to sing me that song when I was little. I loved that song so much that I sang it in a school talent show in the 8th grade (1963)! I dressed up like a little girl, put my hair in pigtails & did a little tap dance routine!

Did you know? My son Matthew , is learning to play the double bass and he has this tune in his music book which I remember my Mum singing to me when I was asmall child. At the top of the music it has the year of publication as 1950 and the composer as John Frederick Coots who was born in 1897 and died in 1985.

I'm 58 and I remember this from dance recitals when I was 5. I now sing this to my grandchildren. I replace the word Teddy sometimes with their name to personalize it for them. I don't remember hearing the complete song and would very much like to find a version with sound.

I'm 50, and barely recall that teddy bear song, but knew all along I didn't dream it.During 1966, my first grade class sang it on school stage,in a program, and we wore our pjs and each held our own teddy bears from home! That was the era of footed pjs, and I wore a pair. I recall feeling it was great wearing them in the car to the program.

The Song, "Me and My Teddy Bear", often comes to mind. I am 62 years old now and remember hearing it on the wireless in 1953, the Coronation Year, or maybe 1954. I didn't remember Rosemary Clooney had sung it but loved Sharon Corr singing it and the lovely wee video. I also alerted 2 friends of mine who are great Teddy lovers!

I too, had this 45 and remember that I also loved the song on the reverse. It was some sort of marching song and I doesn't seem like there were any words - just music. Does anyone remember the name of that song? I would love to find a copy of both songs for my grandson if anyone knows where I can do that.
