Information About Row Row Row Your Boat
"Row Row Row Your Boat" is an American Nursery Rhyme and very popular amongst children. This song can performed as an 'action' nursery rhyme for kids by getting them to sit opposite one another and 'row' forwards and backwards with joined hands.
‘’Row Row Row Your Boat’’ may have originated from American minstrels. The earliest record of the song with similar lyrics to those used today, is from 1852; however, the tune was completely different. ‘The Franklin Square Song Collection’ listing from 1881 was the first time the song was printed with the melody we are familiar with today.
