Tell Me Why

Lyrics

Tell me why the stars do shine;
Tell me why the ivy twines.
Tell me why the ocean's blue;
And I will tell you just why I love you.
Because He made the stars to shine;
Because He made the ivy twine.
Because He made the ocean blue;
Because He made you,
That's why I love you!
I really think that He above
Created you for me to love;
He picked you out from all the rest -
Because He knew, dear,
That I'd love you best.

Out came the sun and dried up all the rain. And Incey Wincey Spider climbed up the spout again.Is your song about a spider?

I once sang this to my husband's message system at work on his birthday. He told me he saved it and listened to it often. He passed away from cancer at 39 but this song reminds me of the poems and songs we left for each other to brighten up our day at work.

My Dad & Mom sang this song in harmony when we drove on trips to visit relatives. They were singing it to each other. Dad died last January after 58 years of marriage. Is 5 kids sang the song at his funeral. There wasn't a dry eye in the church!
