Wake Up!
Song Lyrics & Words
Little Boy Blue come blow your horn. The Sheeps in the meadow; cows in the corn. Where, O where; where can he be? Under the hay, sound asleep. Little Boy Blue, sound asleep.
So, wake up. Get out. You know what I'm talking about. So, don't wait, or, be late. There is so much to be done.
Little Boy Blue begged another try. He said, not to worry. He'd get it right. But, slumber got the best of him ; came in late; fired by ten. Little Boy Blue; sleepin' again.
So, wake up. Get out. You know what I'm talking about. So, don't wait, or, be late. There is so much to be done.
So, learn a lesson from the boy, named, Blue. There's no time for nappin'. No time to lose. You'll never start, if you don't begin. Don't wait too long. Don't be like him. Little Boy Blue. Sleepin' again.
So, wake up. Get out. You know what I'm talking about. So, don't wait, or, be late. There is so much to be done.
Alternative Lyrics & Words
There's people talking
They talk about me
They know my name
They think they know everything
But they don't know anything
About me
Give me a dance floor
Give me a dj
Play me a record
Forget what they say
Cause I need to go
Need to getaway tonight
I put my makeup on a saturday night
I try to make it happen
Try to make it all right
I know I make mistakes
I'm living life day to day
It's never really easy but it's ok
Wake Up Wake Up
On a saturday night
Could be New York
Maybe Hollywood and Vine
London, Paris maybe Tokyo
There's something going on anywhere I go
Tonight
Tonight
Yeah, tonight
The city's restless
It's all around me
People in motion
Sick of all the same routines
And they need to go
They need to get away
Tonight
I put my makeup on a saturday night
I try to make it happen
Try to make it all right
I know I make mistakes
I'm living life day to day
It's never really easy but it's ok
Wake Up Wake Up
On a saturday night
Could be New York
Maybe Hollywood and Vine
London, Paris maybe Tokyo
There's something going on anywhere I go
Tonight
Tonight
Yeah, tonight
People all around you
Everywhere that you go
People all around you
They don't really know you
Everybody watching like it's some kind of show
Everybody's watching
They don't really know you now
(They don't really know you)
(They don't really know you)
And forever
Wake Up Wake Up
(Wake Up Wake Up)
Wake Up Wake Up
(Wake Up Wake Up)
Wake Up Wake Up
On a saturday night
Could be New York
Maybe Hollywood and Vine
London, Paris maybe Tokyo
There's something going on anywhere I go
Wake Up Wake Up
On a saturday night
Could be New York
Maybe Hollywood and Vine
London, Paris maybe Tokyo
There's something going on anywhere
I go
Tonight
Tonight
Yeah, tonight

I would also like to know the song that starts "Wake up buttercups and daisies, wake up violets dear" My grandmother used to sing the song to us and now she is in hospital dying and I would love to know the words to sing to her.

Looking for a song my mother sang each morning to get me up - can't find on the Net - can you help? "Wake up buttercups and daisies, Wake up violets, dear. See the grass is creeping, creeping, see that Spring is here. Soon the daphodils bright golden, wake up from their sleep, and the ________, _________ _________, from the grass will creep." There is more to this song - but I don't remember it. Do you know it by chance? Thanks.
