Lyrics

Down By The Bay

Down by the bay,
Where the watermelons grow.
Back to my home,
I dare not go.
Because if I do,
My mother will say,
"Did you ever see a bear combing his hair?"
Down by the bay.

Down by the bay,
Where the watermelons grow.
Back to my home,
I dare not go.
Because if I do,
My mother will say,
"Did you ever see a goose kissing a moose?"
Down by the bay.

Down by the bay,
Where the watermelons grow.
Back to my home,
I dare not go.
Because if I do,
My mother will say,
"Did you ever see a whale with a polka dot tail?"
Down by the bay.

Down by the bay,
Where the watermelons grow.
Back to my home,
I dare not go.
Because if I do,
My mother will say,
"Did you ever see a pig wearing a wig?"
Down by the bay.

Down by the bay,
Where the watermelons grow,
Back to my home,
I dare not go.
Because if I do,
My mother will say,
"Did you ever see a cat wearing a hat?"
Down by the bay.

Down by the bay,
Where the watermelons grow,
Back to my home,
I dare not go.
Because if I do,
My mother will say,
"Did you ever see a dragon pulling a wagon?"
Down by the bay.

Down by the bay,
Where the watermelons grow,
Back to my home,
I dare not go.
Because if I do,
My mother will say,
"Did you ever see a goat wearing a coat?"
Down by the bay.

Down by the bay,
Where the watermelons grow,
Back to my home,
I dare not go.
Because if I do,
My mother will say,
"Did you ever have a time-
when you couldn't find a rhyme?"
Down by the bay.
